We're now in Alpha, which means that from now we're really starting to add content, with most the plumbing is in place.

Going forward, most of the content will stay free, but if you in the future really want the best of this site, please register. Anyone registering while we're still either in Alpha or Beta will continue to have access to the entire main site for free!

YOU CAN BECOME A CONTRIBUTOR TO LIVING COUNTRY: Registered users will be able to add their own content. As we said at the top, this site is about real people, places and communities.

We now support multiple languages. (Did not make us good translators though.) Most of the menus are still plain English, but some articles are now available also in German and 日本語 (Japanese).
