The Ginnheim district in Frankfurt-am-Main is part of the northern areas that through the continuous expansion of the center became part of the city proper. The district counts over 15,000 inhabitants. 150px-Mk_Frankfurt_Karte_GinnheimGinnheim borders Eschersheim in the north, Dornbusch in the east. Hausen and Praunheim are its western neighbors and in the south we find Bockenheim. The area between the Wilhem-Epstein strasse and the state highway 66 is regularly attributed to Ginnheim, but that is wrong. It is there that you will find the Europa Tower, which the council called the "Ginnheim Spargel" as well as the headquarters of Deutsche Bundesbank (German Central bank).

Ginnheim is connected to the rest of the city through U-bahn U1, which actually terminates here. The same holds for the street car line 16 from Offenbach. It runs through Sachsenhausen and via the main central stattion (Hauptbahnhof) into Ginnheim. You can reach the Rebstock area, Bornheim, Berkersheim and Nordend via buses 34, 39 and 64.

There are no big companies in Ginnheim, but rather a multitude of smaller traders and retail outlets. They organized themselves into a Ginnheim trade circle and publish the local Ginnemer Blättche (Ginnemer Gazette) with information about local issues, societies, events and history.
